VPN Connected but No Internet? Try These Steps
If your VPN appears connected but websites do not load, use this ordered checklist to isolate Wi-Fi, location, app, DNS, and device issues.
A connected status means a tunnel was established; it does not guarantee that the local network, selected endpoint, DNS, or destination is reachable.
Steps
Test without the VPN
Disconnect briefly and open a trusted HTTPS site. If that also fails, fix the Wi-Fi or mobile connection first.
Reconnect once
Return to GoX VPN and reconnect. Avoid tapping repeatedly while a connection attempt is in progress.
Try another available location
A particular endpoint or route can be temporarily unavailable. Choose a different location, then test again.
Switch networks
If practical, compare Wi-Fi with mobile data. Captive portals at hotels, cafés, and airports may need sign-in before the VPN can work.
Restart and update
Close and reopen GoX VPN, restart the device, and install available operating-system and app updates.
Remove conflicting services
Temporarily disable another VPN, private DNS, filtering, or security app to identify conflicts. Re-enable protection after the test.
Use official support
If the problem continues, note the network type, location selected, device, OS, app version, and exact error, then use the store listing’s support entry.
